Information we do not require to cast a mock vote

TryVote does not require your name, email address, phone number, exact age, date of birth or government ID in order to submit a mock vote.

Age confirmation

The 18+ check is a self-attestation stored for the browser session. TryVote does not ask you to provide proof of age through a birth date or identity document.

Mock-vote data

The voting system is designed around aggregate counters rather than a public individual ballot history. Public results show totals and percentages, not named voter records.

Browser and security information

TryVote may use cookies or browser-side markers needed to operate the service, remember that a browser has already submitted a mock vote, maintain short-lived sessions and reduce abuse. Security controls may also use network-derived signals temporarily for rate limiting and request validation.

The production application is designed not to store raw IP addresses in the vote database or application security-event records.

Contact emails

If you contact , we receive the information you choose to send, including your email address and message. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive personal information.

Advertising and cookies

TryVote uses Google AdSense to support informational content on the site. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve, limit, personalize and measure advertising, subject to applicable law and your consent choices where required.

TryVote does not send your mock-vote selection to Google AdSense and does not use your selected candidate or party to target advertising. Advertising should remain separate from candidate-selection controls and the integrity of the mock-voting experience.

Where consent is required for non-essential advertising technologies, TryVote may present a consent message before those technologies are used. You can learn more about how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services at Google's partner-sites privacy information.

Sharing

TryVote sharing features are intended to share the platform or public result pages. The platform should not automatically disclose your selected candidate when you use a general share action.

Data security

No internet service can guarantee absolute security. TryVote uses technical controls intended to reduce unauthorized access and abuse, while minimizing the amount of personal information needed for participation.
