TryVote Nigeria
About

Making civic participation feel visible, simple and worth engaging with.

TryVote Nigeria is an independent civic-engagement platform built around unofficial online voting simulations, public aggregate results and practical election information.

Why TryVote exists

TryVote Nigeria is an independent civic engagement platform created to make participation in Nigeria’s elections feel more visible, simple and engaging.

Ahead of the 2027 elections, many Nigerians feel politically discouraged or disconnected from the electoral process. TryVote gives people a simple way to take part in unofficial presidential and governorship mock votes online, follow live public-opinion results and share the conversation with others.

TryVote is not INEC. TryVote is not affiliated with INEC and does not conduct or replace official elections. Mock votes on TryVote have no legal effect and should not be treated as scientific opinion polls.

Our goal

Our goal is to encourage civic interest and real-world participation — helping more Nigerians stay informed, register where eligible, collect their PVCs and turn up to vote in official elections.

What we believe good civic technology should do

  • Make important information easier to understand.
  • Be clear about what its data can and cannot show.
  • Protect participation without building unnecessary personal profiles.
  • Correct mistakes and update information when reliable sources change.
  • Encourage real-world civic action rather than replace it.

Languages

The main TryVote experience supports English, Nigerian Pidgin, Hausa, Igbo and Yorùbá. The non-English civic copy is scheduled for a final native-speaker review before public launch.
